Impression: Exhibition Leaflets

After looking at Ansel, the next stage of research was looking at exhibition leaflets. This was to gain an understanding of layout, content and design.

I used Pinterest in order to look at interesting leaflet and flyer design; I found this particularly useful as I was unable to leave the house over the break. So below are a few of the designs I picked out and wrote about in my sketchbook.

One of the days I was able to get out the house and explore lead me to the V&A and the South Bank Centre. While at these locations it was mainly flyers I could get my hands on so I picked these up as it still helped me to think about the elements my monograph should include in order to look like a piece of gallery literature. Before looking at the leaflets I hadn’t thought about Booking, Access and Find Us Online sections that are typically at the back or the inside of gallery promotion.
